Today is the first day that employers can take advantage of the flexibility the Government has given to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. The changes mean that employers can bring employees back from furlough on a part time basis and keep them on furlough for the remainder of their normal working hours. All good news for employers.
Remember that this is another change to the employees terms and conditions and you have to comply with the rules of the CJRS to qualify for re-imbursement. So it is crucial that you have a fresh agreement in place with the employee that covers both issues.
